Obituary

Alice Lee (Hardy) Fields “Bay”, 77, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away April 26, 2012. She was born January 28th, 1935 in Mississippi to Jessie Lee Hardy and Annie Cade. She attended and graduated from Clearview Schools in Clearview, Oklahoma. She moved to Tulsa, where she met and married her sweetheart, James Fields, Jr. During this union were born late Sharon Elizabeth “Cookie” Thomas, late Pamela Denise Hardy, Teresa Jo Fields, Sonya Renee Fields, Jessie Ann Fields, and their only son late James “Boogie” Fields III. This was the beginning on the wonderful creation of the Fields Family. Alice went on later to join First Baptist Church North Tulsa under Pastor Rev. Dr. LeRoy K. Jordan. She was very involved in her church; not only a member but on the usher board and mission’s board. Alice was a caregiver for many years with different families such as the late author Lewis Meyer and the later Jo’Ann Sheehan. She later went to work at the Children’s Medical Center until she retired. Alice was always active in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was once a leader of Campfire Girls, the PTA, and she shared her personal book club. She loved reading and enjoyed planting. She also was a big fan of football (Dallas Cowboys), basketball, the racetrack, and traveling. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Dorthy Hardy, grandma Mary Cooks, Robert Brown, Donald Ray Samuels, her only son James “Boogie” III and two daughters Sharon Elizabeth “Cookie” and Pamela Denise. She leaves in God’s care three daughters: Teresa Bailey (Leon), Sonya Fields, Jessie Fields all of Tulsa, three sisters and four brothers. Also nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Condolences may be sent through the guestbook on this page.
