Obituary

Andrew “Andy” Billy “Coach” Harris passed away November 20, 2010 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 69. Andrew Harris was born on September 11, 1941 in Bristow, Oklahoma. He was raised by James Harris and Dressie B. Farbes. He was the oldest brother to Linda, Dwight, James, Geraldine, Callie, and Brenda. Andrew briefly attended Bristow High School and graduated from Booker T. Washington in 1960. He was an accomplished track and football athlete. Andrew attended Coffeyville Community College and later the University of Kansas. He qualified to be an Olympic alternate in track. “Coach Andy” was a well-known coach in the Tulsa area for over 35 years. Andrew married Linda Kay Harris in 1995. He was a retired Sun Oil employee and security officer. He also enjoyed playing on the 3 Hornets and 1 Falcon Bowling team. Andrew leaves to cherish his memory sons De Andre (Jennifer), Michael (Melissa), Jeff and Lavell; Daughters Heather (Antonio), Jennifer (Jerrod), and Traci; 19 loving grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. Visition will be from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home, 2103 East 3rd Street, Tulsa, OK, 74104. The service will be Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Antioch Baptist Church located at 110 East 56th Street North, Tulsa, OK 74126.
