Obituary

On January 20, 1989, Mary (Glaze) Joseph and Shamos Joseph welcomed a very handsome baby boy. They named their bundle of joy, Andrew Wayne Joseph. He was his parents miracle baby. He was born with a heart condition, however he didn’t let that bother him. He was a quiet baby who didn’t cry. He was our joy!!! He grew and went through elementary, middle school and graduated from McClain High School in 2007.

Drew was a smart, brave, and strong young man! Andrew had a soul that touched everyone who knew him. He was witty, caring, and had a way of making people laugh even on their hardest days. He loved rap music, losing himself in video games, and taking care of the family dog, Snoopy, who was never far from his side. He showed his love through actions—fixing things, solving problems, and stepping in without ever being asked. His heart was big, his loyalty was fierce, and his presence made the world feel safer and warmer. Losing him leaves an emptiness that words can’t fill, but the memories of his laughter, his kindness, and the simple joys he loved will stay with us forever. He enjoyed spending time with his sisters, Erica and Monica, his nephews and niece, as well as his extended family and friends.

On December 10, 2025, Andrew was called to His Heavenly Home. He was preceded in death by his baby brother, Antonio, nephew, Kobe , uncle, Boogie and Anky, and grandparents.

Andrew leaves to cherish his precious memory: his parents, Shamos Joseph and Mary Joseph, two sisters: Erica Joseph and Monica Joseph; brother, Shamos Whitaker (Popcorn); nephews: Warnett Waldon (Bubba), Jakob Waldon, and King Waldon, niece, Tos’Janae Waldon; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends, all of whom loved and was loved by Andrew.
