Obituary

Ashley Brooke Caughey-Gehrke entered into eternal rest at home, on Sunday, January 18^th, 2026. She was 41 years old. A Funeral service is scheduled for 12p.m., Friday, February 6^th, 2026, at the Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel, 2103 E. 3^rd, St., Tulsa.

Ashley was born on April 12, 1984. She is the daughter of Christina Caughey-Gehrke of Tulsa and Robert Gehrke of Tulsa.

Ashley grew up in East Tulsa, attending Lindbergh, Lewis and Clark and graduating from East Central High School in 2002. Most of Ashley’s childhood Sundays were spent attending All Souls Church with her grandparents. She was baptized in 2023. Her passion for people and animals led her to attain certifications as a Veterinary Technician and Nursing Assistant. She also found immense joy in connecting with her many friends in the Tulsa community while working in the food and hospitality industry. Since 2010, Ashley has been employed as a substitute teacher within Tulsa Public, Catoosa and Union Schools.

Ashley will always be remembered for her quick, witty responses and the loyal tenacity she held in relationships with family and friends.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who love her, forever. Ashley was preceded in death by Randy Gourd of Sherman, Texas; grandparents, Chuck and Betty Caughey, of Tulsa; dearly treasured friends; and her many beloved animals. She is survived by her parents, Christina Caughey-Gehrke and Robert Gehrke; siblings, Tyler Gehrke of Tulsa, Paige Spaugh of Sherman, Texas, Nicole Gourd of Sherman, Texas, Dakota Gourd of Sherman, Texas; and her cat, Pokey.
