Obituary

Audrey Luella Bray, 90, peacefully passed away at her home of 60 years on June 29, 2010. She was born in Drumwright, Oklahoma, on October 30, 1919. She grew up in Texas and Oklahoma, living on oil field sites with her father, Oscar W., mother, Zeola Helen, and brother, Harold Lowell. Audrey became a teacher and taught with Tulsa Public Schools for 20+ years. In her youth, Audrey traveled across the United States. Throughout her life, she dedicated her efforts to her God, her loved ones, and her country. Audrey was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa. Audry was loved by caregivers: Linda Timaeus; Doris Rosson; and Wendy Sales; by family members: Joe and Patsy King of Quincy, OH; Val and Judy Liepens of Charlotte, MI; and by her many long-time friends, including Mrs. Ethel Wilson and her children, Donna and Benny of New Albany, IN; William Harter of Amarillo, TX; Linda and Phillip Walls of Tulsa; Harold McKaughan of Tulsa; and Mary Caroline Mitchell of Tulsa. Memorial contributions may be made to: First Presbyterian Church, 709 S. Boston Ave., Tulsa, OK 74119. Viewing will be at 8:00-9:45 a.m. on Friday, July 2, 2010, with the funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home, 2103 E. Third Street, Tulsa, OK, (918) 587-7000.

    Miss Bray was a sweet woman, and the times I visited her with Wendy were always enjoyable and special. I will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
