Obituary

Billie was born May 11, 1931 in Coweta, Ok. to Jay and Pauline Beck. She attended school in Collinsville, Ok. and met the love of her life, Pete Holland, while working at the local drug store.  They were married in 1948. She enjoyed helping people so became a nurse and worked in Nowata for over 40 years. She started her career at the Nowata Hospital and then got the opportunity to work for numerous local doctors (Dr Barnes, Dr Grigsby, Dr Reid & Dr Bowman).  At retirement age, she became a Home Health Nurse and worked solely for Ms. Jane Todd for 10 years then retired for good to spend time with Pete. They were married 65 years at the time of his death in 2013. Billie then found a passion for dancing at the age of 85 with the help of her best friend, Donna Pritchett. They were members of the “55 Plus Activity Center” in Bartlesville and hardly ever missed the Wednesday night dance.  Those members became like her 2nd family and supported her throughout her illness.

Surviving are two daughters. Cindy Hudgens and husband Mike of Oologah.  Paula Harbuck and husband Jim of Disney. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Chase Kime of Oologah, Sarah Hinson of Claremore, Ali Fulton of Oologah, Dakota Hudgens of Claremore, Kristi Kirby of Locust Grove and Chad Armstrong of Nowata. In addition are 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Pete and 4 brothers, Bobby Beck, Jimmy Beck, Donnie Beck and Sam Beck.

The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to Cheyanne Reece, Shoney Reece and Hospice in making it possible for Billie to remain in her home during her illness.

The family held a private service on Sunday, November 12th at Billie’s house to show her how much she was loved and tell her Goodbye.  She went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 15th. She will be missed.
