Obituary

Billy Jon Wilson passed from this life and went to his heavenly home on July 25, 2023, at age 49. He lived in Tulsa, OK. Billy was born in Tulsa, OK, on October 19, 1973, to Leslie O. Wilson and Carol L. (Dorman) Wilson. He was the fourth of five siblings. He is survived by wife, Jenell; siblings Susan Davis and June Barker; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins by the dozens.

Billy dearly loved his wife, Jenell. She writes: “Billy was the best husband a wife could ever have. He was so good to me. We never argued–we had disagreements, but we resolved them. He was one of a kind, and I let him be the Billy that he was–I never tried to change him. He was 10 years younger than I, but we were the perfect couple. We taught each other things. That’s probably why we were married for 21 years. He would have turned 50 in October.”

Billy could put a smile on anyone’s face–his laugh was contagious. He was kind to others. He loved Jesus, his animals, making music, his rooster collectibles, going to concerts, and traveling.

Billy is preceded in death by his father and mother, Olan and Carol Wilson; sister, Loretta R. (Wilson) Rosson; and sister, Rebecca A. Wilson.

Billy’s memorial service is Saturday, July 29, at 10:30am, at Souls Harbor Church (418 S 193rd E Ave, Tulsa, OK 74108).

Family visitation is Friday, July 28, from 2-4pm / Friends and public from 4-8pm, at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home & Crematory (2103 East 3rd Street, Tulsa, OK 74104).
