Obituary
Bonita Caroll Johnson, a longtime resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at the age of 65. In a world that often values noise, Bonita lived her life with a gentle grace, proving that the most powerful lives are often the ones lived quietly.
Bonita didn’t need a stage to make an impact. Her legacy was written in the small, steady moments: the way she showed up for her family, the quiet strength she offered during hard times, and the simple joy of being present. She moved through the world with a soft step and a large heart, finding her greatest fulfillment in the deep bonds she shared with those she loved.
Her family was the center of her universe. Bonita leaves behind a legacy of love in her three daughters Joyce (Benjamin), Teresa (Joel), Felicia (Shawn) and her cherished granddaughter Kymani, who was the light of her later years. She also leaves behind three brothers Mark, Tyrone, and Eric and two sisters Evelyn, Rochelle, who will remember her as the calm within the storm.
She has gone home to be reunited with those who walked the path before her, including her beloved parents Helen and Charles one brother Charles Jr, and three sisters Linda Kay, Joyce and Shelice.
Bonita’s life was not defined by grand gestures, but by a quiet, enduring devotion. She lived quietly, she died quietly, and the silence she leaves behind is a testament to how much space her gentle soul truly occupied in the hearts of her family.

The Bible said to be absent from the body is to become present with the Lord. I know your up there with all of our loved ones who flew before you. Moving across the sky are wing tracks. But yet if listened closely I hear laughter and singing. I smell Grandma, aunty and Mom’s cooking and your favorite dish. She memories will never leave, your smile is one, your greatness, your talents, your beauty and mostly your love for life.. Sometimes we any have a chance to say goodbye but really it’s not because we all will be together one day. Until we meet again. Travel on cousin. Journey home.
