Obituary

The Intro:

On the evening of December 25, 1989, in Chicago, Illinois, a very special spirit was gifted to this world. Brandon Terell Smith, a.k.a. “King Turtle,” was born to mother, Angelette Clovice Smith, whom received him in Heaven, and father, Earl Long. King Turtle attended elementary school as a quiet but brave and strong child. Middle school brought out his voice and confidence, he became the family comedian and he was good at it. High school brought out his voice and confidence. He made the choice to receive his GED to pursue a path of his many talents that he posed during his childhood experiences. He knew early on that the structural order of life was his to control. He took his passions into a career in music where he was able to create many platforms where he could express his character and his vibrant personality. He used this platform so others could understand his thoughts and to overall, hear his voice. Turtle became an entrepreneur where he developed his latest career, creating AP Creations, LLC. which was created in dedication to his late, great best friend, Adrian Lane. Turtle also had a great passion working the stock market mastering financial literacy. Turtle traveled the states teaching others investment options and the dynamics of the market through multiple financial concepts. He was a natural born creator and leader.

Verse One:

The Legacy of King Turtle will be forever carried on by his Princess Mariah Nicole Smith, brothers: Byron (Zo), Ryan (Mud), Kortney (Sumo), Julian (JuJu), Andrew Smith, and New York; his only sister, Marissa Smith, grandmother, Martha Ann Smith-Williams, nieces: Kassidy, Khy’Riel, and Klover; nephews: Braylon, Khortlynn, Kortney, Kingston, Karter, Kamir, Rhylin, and Zhylin; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

The Bridge:

To you, to all my family, families of another mister and mother, my fans that encouraged me and boosted my confidence when I didn’t have an identity. Y’all did that to me, all for the love of me. I learned and mastered the game of life here, I spiritually elevated myself, physically I nourished my body, mentally I elevated and created and accomplished this life journey in a path of endless opportunities. I have lived a life that many have not, I’ve traveled this country through my talents in sports. I’ve touched the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and held its sand in my bare hands. I’ve seen a view that stretched so far across the ocean as far as my eyes can see. That moment there it unlocked something in my mind that told me life is full of endless opportunities. The taste of its waters resemble the taste of tears, salty, but way worse bro. So stop crying all the time before your blood pressure rises. Some of y’all I have not seen me in a long time, but that is Okay because I have been spending time aligning my spirit. I had to move to New York to chase greater opportunities and in that time I learned a lot about myself. Anyways man, I’ve flown above the clouds where I’ve seen man made machines working. As I have left earth please celebrate and live on with me in your hearts. I was saying, do that thing that they call “Live Your Life to the Fullest”! I have lived mine. It was so much fun, great memories that keeps me attached to you, so every day has been cherished and lived to its fullest that I felt like I’ve lived 23 lifetimes. You can’t say that my 34 years were short. I’ve already lived past the average. On God. So, to my guys and girls, you too are your very own creator. You too have all the Endless Opportunities. Go create, create in my name. Keep God First and stay prayed up. Live and shed your fears as I have many times. Detach your low vibrations to elevate and walk in your path towards your Endless Opportunities. My family, my families of another mister and mother, my loving fans, you all have created me. I have been a part of you before I gained my wings.
