Obituary

On May 2, 1956, God delivered an angel to Willie Brown and Betty Carter, they named her Brenda Joyce Carter. She was born and raised in Tulsa, this is where Brenda decided to live her life. She attended school in Tulsa, Emerson Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High and finally graduated from Central High School in 1976. At an early age she met Ronald Harris, who would be her life partner for more than thirty years. This would give Brenda and Ronnie four children to love and cherish. Brenda was loved and adored by her family and friends. She had a joyful spirit and giving nature. She had a special laugh that made you fell whatever was bringing her so much joy, and you had to laugh with her. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. She took her role of the elder child seriously, always trying to be a comforter, friend, counselor and helper to her siblings and children. Having accomplished all he expected of her, on April 4, 2017, God called her home to live in His eternal peace. Brenda is preceded in death by her parents: Willie and Betty; sister: Ella Carter and her aunt Laura. My condolences to your family on the loss of your loved one. In Hosea 13:14 it states: "From the power of the grave I will redeem them; from death I will recover them." May that thought give your family a real hope of being reunited with your loved one in the future.
