Obituary

Callie Mae was born May 6, 1926 in Ft. Coffee, Oklahoma to Henry Avery and Bessie (Gains) Avery. Callie went to school in Louisiana before her family moved to Tulsa where she met her husband Russell A. Grayson. Out of that union they had six children. Callie came to know the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at an early age and was saved and sanctified. She was some kind of lady that had the love of God in her and would do anything to help someone in need. She loved her Northside Church where she held the positions of Prayer Warrior, Asst. Home & Foreign Mission President, Hospitality Helper, and she was a member of the Northside Choir. She was also the North Tulsa District Nurse Unit President, a licensed missionary, a financial supporter of the women’s department of Oklahoma, North West, and a graduate of Charles Harrison Mason Bible Institute of Oklahoma, North West. Mother Grayson had many people that were dear to her. The love she had for her husband, children, grandchildren, sisters and brothers was special. She had two special friends: Mother Libbie Griffin and Mother Vivian Tarver. Together the three of them were known as “The Three Stooges.” Callie leaves to cherish her memory six children: Herbert (Janice), Patricia (Warren) Boylan, Russell (Cheryl) Grayson, Don Grayson, Jean (Harry) Grayson and Brenda (Clifford) Grayson; siblings: Lucy Bullocks, Mable Smith, Mark Norman, Emma Dunn, and Earl Watson; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Allen Grayson Sr. in 2008, one grandchild, and four brothers and sisters.
