Obituary

Catherine “Kitty” Saunders, 85, Tulsa, OK passed away peacefully on February 10, 2016 surrounded by her family.

Kitty McGann was born April 6, 1930 in Liverpool, England. She is proceeded in death by her husband Ted Saunders, and her brother Ernest McGann.

Kitty Saunders came to America in 1961, but her heart never really left her “home” in England where she was born, fell in love, and started her family. She returned there many times and kept a piece of English life with her until her last cup of tea February 9, 2016.  Kitty and her beloved Ted spent sixty three years working, traveling the world, dancing and singing together. They will be greatly missed.

She leaves behind her adoring son- David Saunders of Tulsa, Christina Arnott and her husband Maurice also of Tulsa, grandchildren Seth Day and wife Sara, Courtney Saunders, Derek Saunders, Lauren Saunders, and Jack Saunders. Great grandchildren Gabriel Day, Saunders Day, Jackson Klerekoper, Jett Kimray, Sophia Kimray and Rebel Jones. Sisters, Anne Williams and Violet Edwards

  1. As she gave me a piece of her heart, I will forever remember her welcoming smile and telling me to "sit a while".. This past Monday we talked for quite a while and she told me over and over how much she loved her family…..and that she did!!! I will miss you Nana &128149;

    So sorry to hear this sad news about Kitty, I have nothing but fond memories of growing up spending lots of summer days over at David & Christine Ted & Kittys home we had no worries back then and Ted & Kitty were always so welcoming of all of us kids into their home, Kitty always had time for us and made us each feel special, loved you mom & dad Chris & David they were special people and will always be missed Love alway Buddy

    My heart is with everyone sharing at this sad time.Ive known Kitty since I was 13, I knew then that Ted & Kitty were a special couple.As time passed by I made some poor choices ,they always said something positive to me.Everytime I made it back to Tulsa seeing any of the "English Group" made the trip special.I always enjoyed visiting with Kitty it was either Ted or Ann by her side.Love you are with your Ted and both of you have a special place in my heart.
