Obituary

Born on November 11, 1970 to Sam and Haroldene Hill in White Salmon, WA, Charisse spent her childhood first in Washington and later in Tulsa. She graduated from BTW in 1989 and from the University of Tulsa in 1993 with a degree in Chemistry. While in college, Charisse met her future husband, Bob Kiehn, whom she married in 1995. Three years later, she received her master’s degree in Pharmacology from the University of Michigan. The couple then moved to central Texas, where their three children were born. Several years later, her young family followed Bob’s job to western Canada and then to Houston. Charisse enjoyed music and loved performing, especially for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. After a 6 year battle with breast cancer, she began singing praises in heaven on August 9th. Charisse is survived by her husband, Bob, their children, Samantha, Bryan and Tristan; her mother, Haroldene Hill, and four siblings. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Hill, and 1 sister. Services will be held at Harvard Avenue Baptist Church under the direction of Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent through the guest book on this page.

  1. I am so sorry for you loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Charisse's family and friends. May God see you through this difficult time. Charisse has a beautiful soul that will be with you always.

  2. There are no words to express the sadness I feel at the passing of Charisse. Although she was my friend first she was your Mother, your Wife, your Daughter, your Sister. Charisse was always upbeat, positive and sincere. She loved you all very much and she lived her life to give glory to Jesus Christ her Savior. Knowing we shall see her again in Heaven makes celebrating her and her life her easier. Charisse's light will be forever in my heart. It has been an honor to know her.

  3. Hi Bob…! Just wanted to say we are so very sorry about Charisse. She was a lovely lady. Funny. Optimistic. Someone great to get to know. We miss your family and will be praying for the Lord to hold you in his arms for as long as you need it. With love, the Malouf family.

  4. Our heartfelt sympathy we send to you and your family. With each new day may God help (Ps.147:3) you to cope with such a deep loss. May your warm and loving memories of Charisse also bring some comfort to you. She will be sadly missed.

  5. I just learned of Charisse's passing yesterday from my sister, Karen, and want to extend my heartfelt sympathy. In the 1960-70s, my family (Grimms)knew the Hill family in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. In fact, Sam Hill was my Spanish teacher at South Umpqua HS. My husband, Bob, and I will be praying for all of Charisse's family as you go through this time of grief and healing. I know you will see Charisse again someday in Heaven.
