Obituary

Charles Harven Gunnells was the third child born to Bessie Fitzpatrick (Mother Adams) and Ardis Gunnells in DeWitt Arkansas.

He was raised in both Arkansas and Flint Michigan. Our family moved to Tulsa Oklahoma in 1962. Charles attended several schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington with the class of 1970.

After completing further education, he became a Principal Designer/Engineer and worked for the Williams Brothers Company. During his tenure at the Williams Companies he was proud to be a part of the design and construction team that traveled to complete work on the Prudhoe Bay Alaskan Pipeline. He later joined the team at Worley ParsonsEngineering Consultants and remained until his retirement.

Charles leaves to celebrate his homegoing his wife, Karen McKinney Gunnells; his children, Terrance Charles Gunnells (wife Alexandra), Buena Park CA; Brittani Leigh Gunnells, Tulsa OK; preceded in death by daughter LaMonika Gyant, Tulsa OK. The “apples of his eye” granddaughters; Menyon James, Trinity Daniels, and grandson Terrance ll.
