On January 27, 1947, John Wesley Love and Kathryn Triggs welcomed into this world a beautiful son, Charles Edward Love. Although he was named Charles he was affectionately nicknamed from family and friends. He would answer to, “Squitchum”, “TC”, “Top Cat” and “Crow.” Whatever name he was called, it was all in love. Growing up as a young boy in Boynton, Oklahoma, Charles was educated in the Boynton School system. In the country, there were things as a young boy he quickly fell in love with and one was being drawn to horses. He could be called a “horse wrangler” and this passion would span over a sixty year period. In the early 70’s heeding the call of duty, Charles joined the United States Army during the Vietnam era. Upon completion of his service to the Army, he was honorably discharged and returned to Oklahoma. After his return to Oklahoma, Charles met and married the love of his life, Ira Jean Johnson in 1975. He was left to embrace her memory until they would meet again. His life was a life well lived and a race well ran. His love and compassion and service to this country will forever live with us.
