The Life & Legacy of Corine Stripling

Obituary

The book of life was opened on September 8, 1940, in Morrilton Ark to the union of Bennie and Hattie Lee Coleman. She was the first of four children.

Corine Coleman met and married Harvey Wagoner on February 16, 1955, and four daughters were born to this union.

She later married Eugene Brice in 1963, who helped raise her daughters as his own until his passing.

Later in life, she met and married Earl Stripling Sr.

Early in life, her mother laid the foundation where she professed her life to Christ, under the leadership of the late Elder J.L. Alaman, and united with the Page Memorial Church of God in Christ. Later in life, she joined The Branch of Jerusalem Church under Elder Leroy Bemore Jr., where she was one of the mothers of the church until her passing.

She began her professional career as a domestic worker, and she was very active in the community and Tulsa Public School system, where she was a member of the PTA Dunbar and worked as a teacher’s aid at Carver.

Everyone knew she would give you the shirt off her back. Opening up her home to friends, family, and anyone in need

She was preceded in death by both parents Bennie and Hattie Lee Coleman, grandparents Lueller and Andrew Burton, daughter Bonita Wagoner, Harvey Wagoner Jr, Eugene Brice, and Earl Stripling Sr., brother Robert Lee Coleman and nephew Leroy Coleman Jr.
