The Life of Curtis LaVern Wright    

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”   Psalms 23:4 KJV

Curtis LaVern Wright was born on December 24, 1946 to Clarence and Christine Wright in Bald Hill, Okmulgee, OK.  He accepted Christ at an early age and was later baptized.  His parents preceded him in death. 

Curtis received an early education from Tulsa Public Schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington, H.S. with the Class of 1966.  He was drafted into the United States Armed Services in the Marine Corps.  He was honorably discharged 1969.

He married Ollie Dean Wells, December 25, 1969 unto this union two children were born.  He became a member of Christ Temple C.M.E.  He completed an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering from Tulsa Junior College in 1979 and worked in this field for many years.

Life that has no end….

On December 24, 2019 Curtis found perfect peace as he fell asleep and made the heavenly climb to Heaven’s Gate.

He leaves to cherish his memory two children Quana F. Wright, Kimberly R. Wright. Three grandchildren, Quentin Marcellis Wright, Jasmyne E. Johnson, Marcell D. McClindon Five siblings:  Carl E. Wright, Darryell (Chuckie) L. Wright, Chantay Y. Fisher, Karnetha Wright-Fox of Claremore, Ok, Natasha S. Riggins of Dallas, Tx. Three aunts Marguerite Rice, Juanita Garrett and Octativa Love and a host of nieces and nephews.
