Obituary
Curtis Theodore Smith was born on December 10, 1945, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Lillian and Ben Smith. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1964 and went on to build a dedicated career with Pepsi Cola in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he worked as a forklift operator for many years before leaving in 1994. Curtis was well known among his family for arriving with cases of soda to share, a thoughtful gesture that everyone greatly appreciated and fondly remembers.
Curtis had a deep love for music and enjoyed listening to artists from many different genres. He amassed an impressive record collection over the years, with Gordon Lightfoot being his favorite artist. He enjoyed Virgil Partch books and watching old movies starring Wallace Beery.
He also enjoyed solving cryptoquotes and had a remarkable mathematical mind.
Simple pleasures brought him great happiness, like having a limeade from Sonic, and especially having a meal from KFC brought to him.
Curtis will be remembered for his quiet generosity, his unique interests, and the special memories he created with those who knew and loved him.
Curtis T. Smith passed away peacefully in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, at the Beacon Ridge Nursing Home on June 6th, 2026, at the age of 80 years old.
