Obituary
David came into this world on February 21, 1962, he was 55 years young. He was born in Mountain View, California to Gerald Rex and Phyllis Irene (Chase) Harrington. During his youth the family moved to Seminole, Oklahoma where he grew up to be a fine man. The deaths of both his parents prompted David to begin work at a young age, primarily in the oil fields.
As work became scarce in his hometown, he moved his family to the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. Most recently he worked for Exterran Corporation as a welder/burner and safety coordinator. He was very happy at Exterran and worked for them for a number of years. Short of winning the lottery, he would have retired there.
David is survived by his brother Rick Harrington and wife Judy; sister Teresa Morris and husband Larry; sister Donna Galbraith and husband Curtis; sister Renee Martinez and husband Andrew; brother Buddy Cullum and wife Tamy; son Scott Harrington; 2 grandchildren Cameron and Jordan Harrington; and close friend/companion Jo Ann Brown. David was preceded in death by his parent Gerald and Phyllis, as well as a brother Thomas Harrington. David has a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces great nephews, in-laws, out-laws and friends.
David was a kind, generous man, who didn’t know a stranger. He is loved by many and will be missed by all.
David departed this world September 2, 2017. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Seminole Municipal Park in Seminole, Oklahoma at 2 pm.
