Celebrating The Life of Delphine “Deli” Cerita Fletcher, born Delphine Cerita Benson, August 18, 1962 – June 28, 2026. With profound sadness and grateful hearts, we celebrate the life of Delphine Cerita Fletcher, born Delphine Cerita Benson, who peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on June 28, 2026, at her home in Glenpool, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love and comfort of family.

Delphine was born on August 18, 1962, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Rose and Hobert Benson. She lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, and unconditional love. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior early in life and remained a devoted Christian throughout her life. Her favorite scripture, Matthew 5:8, perfectly reflected the way she lived: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

Delphine was a natural born caregiver. Caring for others was not simply her profession it was her calling and her purpose. She began her career as a Certified Nurse Aide and spent many years providing compassionate care to those in need. As her career grew, she began caring for clients independently, giving each person the same love, dignity, and kindness she would give her own family. To Delphine, those she cared for were never just clients; they became family. Her heart was so full of love that she left a lasting impression not only on those she cared for but also on their families. Her gentle spirit, patience, and selflessness touched countless lives. Known affectionately as “Deli,” she was one of the most generous people anyone could ever meet. She never hesitated to lend a helping hand, share what she had, or open her home and heart to those in need. Whether offering words of encouragement, preparing a meal, caring for someone who was sick, or simply being there when someone needed her most, Deli gave freely and wholeheartedly. Her kindness was a reflection of the love of Christ that lived within her. Family was the center of Deli’s world. She was blessed to give birth to nine beautiful children, and nothing brought her greater joy than watching her family continue to grow through each new generation. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who made everyone feel welcomed, loved, and accepted. Her children and grandchildren were truly the joy of her life. One question they loved asking was, “Mama, who’s your favorite?” Without hesitation, her answer was always the same: “I love all my babies the same. I have enough love to go around.” Those words perfectly captured her heart. She loved each of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unconditionally, making every one of them feel special and deeply cherished.

Over 15 years ago, Delphine found love with her devoted husband, Melvin Fletcher, and together they built a life filled surrounded by faith, love, and unforgettable adventures. After years of hard work and dedication, they enjoyed the fruits of their labor by experiencing God’s beautiful creation together. Delphine visited the ABC Islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao, the Bahamas, Fort Lauderdale, the Dominican Republic, Hawaii, Alaska, and Jamaica. Whether relaxing along the shoreline, discovering new destinations, or simply enjoying one another’s company, they created treasured memories that their family will cherish forever. Delphine believed in enjoying the blessings God gave her, and every journey reflected her joyful spirit, adventurous heart, and deep appreciation for life’s precious moments.

Delphine is preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Hobert Benson; her beloved children Rico Reynolds, Rickey Reynolds, Leelee Garrett, and Tanara Reynolds; her precious grandson Rodrick Lewis Jr.; and her siblings Credell, Tommy, Jimmy, Cynthia, Marlow, and Darrell Benson. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Melvin Fletcher; her loving children Reggie Reynolds Jr., Renada Garrett, Lashon Reynolds, Shannon Reynolds, Robin Reynolds, Ariele (Brandon) Allen, and Whitney (Raqaun) Bennett; her beloved stepdaughters, Crashaunta and Latonya; her daughters-in-love LaKisha and Sherita Reynolds; 34 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her siblings Larry, David, Anthony, Antonet, and Lisa Benson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and countless others whose lives were forever changed by her kindness, generosity, and unconditional love. Although our hearts are broken, we rejoice in knowing that Delphine’s faith has become sight. She is now resting peacefully in the presence of her Lord and Savior, healed, whole, and free from pain. The love she shared, the lives she touched, and the legacy she built through faith, service, generosity, and family will continue to inspire generations to come.

Delphine’s life reminds us that true greatness is measured not by wealth or recognition, but by the love we give to others. She served with humility, loved without conditions, gave without expecting anything in return, and left this world better than she found it. Her beautiful spirit will live on forever in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8 Her love was limitless, her faith was unwavering, and her legacy will live on through every life she touched.
