Dixie Lee Roden, 66, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, April 24. Dixie was born October 8, 1952 in Emporia, Kansas to Roland and Pat Smith. Visitation for Mrs. Roden will be held Tuesday, April 30, from 1pm-8pm at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 1, 10 am, at Rivergate Church, 1439 East 71st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

    Dixie was and will always be one of my favorite people. She was always a class act. I am looking forward to that day when we meet again in heaven. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

  2. Dixie, my friend you will be greatly missed! Words can't describe the pain and loss we all feel. I will see you again in Heaven one day. Just a few words to describe who my friend was! D-I-X-I-E D-Devoted to her faith, devoted to her husband, devoted to her friends & coworkers. I-Illuminating (brighten up any room she came into, uplifting & encouraging-A PEARL OF GREAT PRICE! X-Xenodochial (Greek word meaning "Friendly to strangers") I-Interactive (very social, very talkative) Used to describe two things that affect each other when they are put together! E-Example (she lead by example as a person of faith, by being loving and friendly to all! We can only aspire to the example she was! Love You Sister!

    Heaven is much sweeter because I never saw Dixie without a smile and a kind word. This earth has lost a precious jewel but we are better because we knew Dixie. Dixie was my daughter's AC Specialist until she retired, she was a special lady!
