Obituary

Mr. Don Gene Lesley of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away on May 3, 2022 in Tulsa, OK. 

Visitation for Mr. Lesley will be held on Friday, May 20, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home, 2103 E. 3rd St., Tulsa, OK 74104.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 12:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Memorial Chapel followed by interment at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.

Don Gene Lesley was born to Andy Lesley Jr and Norma Helen Cooks on September 03, 1958 in Tulsa, OK.  At the age of 18, Don joined the United States Marine Corps.  He served his country for several years.  After returning home, Don became a true handy man of electrical, plumbing, construction, and any other home repair.

In the Summer of 1978, Don visited Mississippi where he met his future Mrs. Lesley- Catherine Teague. Don and Catherine married  January 01, 1979.  They remained married for 43 years.  Within that 43 years they grew their family with Don Jr. and Nadia. 

Don enjoyed his free time enjoying life, working with his hands, and teaching his children about life.  When he was enjoying life he was making a way by creating a new journey for someone through his skills of many trades.

Don Gene Lesley is survived by his wife, Catherine Lesley, son, Don Lesley Jr., and his daughter, Nadia Lesley-Robinson and son in law, Larry Robinson.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Don Lesley (Dtrae), Kwame Lesley, DeNyla Lesley, Christian Dixon, Don Lesley (little D), Kody Lesley, and Xa’Raya Lesley. Aniyah Pascoe, Myriana, Larry Robinson III, Lauryn Robinson.  His Great Grand children- Kalyen Lesley He is also survived by his brother, Troy Lesley and sister, Bridget  Johnson, many nephews, neices, and many others which refererred to his as Dad, friend, and family.
