Donald Paul David 1941 – 2015 Donald Paul David was born on November 11, 1941 to Alfred and Martha David. He was the fourth of five children born to them. Don lived to be 73 years old. Don was born on a farm south of Inola, Oklahoma, and attended Inola public school through seventh grade when the family moved to Tulsa. Don attended Corn Bible Academy from 1956 to 1959. While there he met Martha Ann Pauls. They dated in high school and just a couple of years later they married on August 5, 1961 in Corn, Oklahoma. Following high school, Don started working for Scott Rice, an office and furniture supply company in Tulsa. He started as a delivery boy in the fall of 1959. For 47 years Don worked for Scott Rice. He made deliveries, then he was a salesman, sales manager, and ultimately he managed the warehouse and became Director of Operations. Don and Martha had three children. Teresa Ann was born in 1963, Larry Don in 1967, and Patricia Lynn in 1970. After Don retired in 2006, he and Martha drove everywhere. Just in the last ten years they travelled to California, Oregon, New York, New Jersey, and all the places in between. They logged nearly 300,000 miles in eight years. Don was diagnosed with stage IV inoperable prostate cancer in 2004. The family would say he diligently took serious treatment for nine years until December 2013. Eventually, chemotherapy was necessary, and he had six treatments between early August and early December 2014. Don entered eternal life on Monday, January 12, 2015. Don is survived by his wife Martha Ann; daughter Teresa and husband Jr Regier; son Larry and partner Martyn Wingo; daughter Patricia and husband John Klick; grandchildren: Tom and wife Joyce Regier; Matthew and wife Allison Regier; Timothy Regier; Lydia Elizabeth Klick; Maria Elinore Klick; and Emma Grace Klick; one great-granddaughter: Ellen Margaret Regier; brother Charles J. David; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Martha David; sister-in-law: Willa V. David; brother and sister-in-law: Wesley R. David and wife Minnie; sister and brother-in-law: Virginia M. and Donald L. Epp; and sister: Barbara R. Ediger. Visitation will be held Sunday January 18, 2015 from 1-6 p.m. at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home.
