Obituary

Donald Wayne Rickner was born on March 7th, 1941 to Ralph & Dora Rickner, in Yale, Ok.  Don was raised on a farm and worked alongside his dad.  He was a jack of all trades who could fix anything.  He was most happy when he was working on something. He started working for Cities Service, which later became Southern Star Central Gas Pipleline. He retired at the age of 59, after 39 years of service. 

Don married Carolyn Barnes on October 1st, 1983 and they made their home in Blackwell where they have pastored Upward Call Ministries for 25 years.

He was much loved by his family, church family and many friends. He loved his family and was very supportive of them all.

Don is survived by his wife Carolyn of the home, 3 daughters: Lisa Fry & husband David, of Perkins, Carolyn Johns of Stillwater, and Lea Riff and her husband Don of Blackwell;  two sons, Billy Barnes of Bartlesville and Darren Barnes of Tulsa:

Two sisters;  Billie Haberstat of Ben Wheeler, Texas and Rena Duckworth of Brownwood, Texas

Grandchildren:  Tara Webb, Whitley Campbell, Trevor Fry, Fowler Hata, Jessalyn Politte, Jared Politte, Brady Barnes, Jeremy Barnes, and Dominque Barnes, 11 great grandchildren and many friends.
