Obituary

Dorothy Laree Hurd, age 70, passed away February 28, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dorothy was born April 5, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to William Loyd & Dorothy Elizabeth Pratt who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by Roger Lee Hurd. Dorothy is survived by her 3 loving children, Rusty Hurd, Renee’ Hurd and Michael Hurd (Renae); 5 grandchildren that she simply adored, Kelsey Jo Smith (Ely), Tess Laree Hurd, Casey Ryan Hurd, Allison Brooke Hurd and Morgan Nicole Hurd; and one great-grandchild, Natalie Jo Smith. She is also survived by her brother, William Harry Pratt; nephew, Shawn Pratt and niece, Tara Koehn. Funeral Services will be held on 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 5th 2015 at the Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. No Viewing will be held.   1. Dear Hurd family, Please accept my deep regrets for your loss and let me share the help I received when this enemy death took my entire family. I found much comfort and hope in what Jehovah Gods word the Bible says at John5:28,29 for there Jesus tells us we'll see our love ones again because he's bringing them back in the resurrection and at Isaiah25:8 we're told this enemy death will be swallowed up forever this along with the comfort and encouragement at the website jw.org help me get through each day and I truly hope this helps you also in some way for this is my purpose in sharing this with you and please know that I do share your grief.     I have such good memories of Dorothy and in the last couple of years we have enjoyed several long phone conversations. I am sorry she was not healed on this side of heaven but I know that we will have more long conversations in the future. Her faith was important to her.

  4. We grew up with Dorothy and Harry. Went to school and church with them.The Pratt and Hall families enjoyed many good times togther. Our prayers are with her family.
