I am sending my heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Dorothy Gatewood. I am so sorry for your loss. May you find peace and strength in the love of Father God during this time of sorrow. Dorothy and I have been friends since elementary school at Ralph J. Bunche, and we graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in the mighty Class of 1963. Throughout all of these years, Dorothy was a good friend. Although I will miss her, I’ll always remember her as a sweet, kind, and caring child of God. We love Dorothy, but God loves her best. RIP, Dorothy!

I cannot find the words to describe that EXPLOSIVE PERSONALITY; nor the words that express how special she was to me. Dorothy Ruth, affectionately known as "Dot", and I were close sisters in our prime. We bravely sampled life together like "Partners in crime." I'll miss the occasional chats we had – since we lived miles apart. But as long as I live, the memory of "Dot" will remain forever in my heart. To the family, SONJA, TIM, and MABEL…I love you all. Shelia
