Obituary

On May 28, 1977, Virgil and Millicent (MeMe) Charles were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, who they named Elizabeth Montez (affectionately nicknamed “Breezie”).  Breezie was a very smart, beautiful, and fun loving young lady who was adored by her family and friends.

Breezie attended Wichita Public Schools and graduated from Wichita Southeast High School.  She was baptized at an early age and was a member of First Church in Wichita, KS under the former leadership of Elder Tyrone Sherrod.  Breezie was so outgoing, loving, outstanding, fun, and a carbon copy of her lovely mother’s personality and both her mother and father’s good looks!  She was fiercely loyal to those that she loved and did not mind going to battle on their behalf, if necessary (and even when unnecessaryJ).  We will truly miss our beautiful Breezie and all her hilarious viewpoints on life!

After 40 blessed years, our Breezie completed her last season on Saturday, March 10, 2018.  She leaves a rich heritage and loving memories in the hearts of her family and friends.  Those who preceded her in death and will meet her at the pearly gates include her beloved mother, Millicent, one sister (Nikia), Grandparents (R.C. & Elizabeth Chamberlain) and (Darnell & Dorothy Hines-Charles), and several dear Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.

Breezie leaves to cherish her memories:  1 lovely daughter, Millicent (Millie) Charles, her Father Virgil Charles (Joan), one Sister Shalonda “Mece” Banks (Elijah), 1 niece Asia, 2 nephews, Elijah, Jr. & Ashton, Fiancé, Robert “Gauge” Pless, and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins (the Natives), and Friends who will truly miss her dearly.Services will be held Saturday March 10, 2018 at Butler-Stumpff  Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m.

My condolences to the family of Elizabeth. At this time please lean upon Jehovah God to be your refuge and strength. Psalms 46:1. Jehovah promises in his word the Bible that those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. John 5:29,29. This earthly resurrection is something that we all look forward to. The day when we will be reunited with our loved ones and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Revelation 21:3,4. You all are in my prayers.
