Obituary
Elmer Dwight Randall, known as “Dwight”, was born on July 3, 1932 to Bill and Ora Randall. He was the 6th of their seven children born. Dwight started out his adult life working in construction, then moving on to be a grocery truck driver, and finally – in 1956 – he apprenticed as a drapery installer, under Lawrence and Sadie Allen. Draperies would turn out to be his life long vocation. He would follow this path for the next 30 years, until forced into retirement by a massive stroke in 1986, leaving him paralyzed on his left side. Dwight’s passion was his faith in Jesus Christ. He taught Sunday School for a number of years, even long after his stroke. As a Sunday School teacher, in 1953 he met Helen Joann Pearman, who a few months later would be his wife for the next 57 years. Dwight’s love for teaching, not only flourished through Sunday School, anything he knew, he was willing to teach. Numerous people can link their drapery training an experience back to him. From teaching Bible, draperies, to teaching English to a new Spanish speaking neighbor, Dwight was a teacher. Dwight is preceded in death by his father Bill Randall; his mother Ora Randall; his brothers Ross Randall, Ray Randall and Charles Randall. Dwight is a survived by wife, Helen Randall of Tulsa, daughter Linda Hess and her husband Ken of Tulsa; his son Lawrence Randall and wife Tammy of Tulsa. Dwight’s grandchildren, Christopher “Craig” Wise, Robb Wise, Lindsay Evans and her husband Scott, Leslie Hess, Kenny Hess, Amanda Slagle and her husband Tyrel and Megan Taft and her husband Xavier. His two great grandchildren Chloe and Mekhi Randall. He is also survived by his sisters, Opal Jordan, Wanema Anderson and Carol Rozell.
