Obituary
Estrid Elizabeth Newman, lived December 16, 1915 – June 6, 2012. Estie, as she was known by her friends, was a first generation American, born to Swedish immigrants. She is superceded in death by her husband, Stanley Newman, and is survived their 2 children, Sharon Swank and Ronald Newman. Her family legacy includes, 5 grandchildren; Amee’ Anderson, Robert Swank, Todd Swank, Wendy Caldwell and Brad Newman, as well as 11 great grandchildren. Estie was many things; beautician, wife, mother, grandmother, piano player, and most often, the life of the party wherever you found her. She loved big band music and accompanied many well known bands like Lawrence Welk and Tommy Dorsey on piano. For the last 12 years, she was the voice of many radio commercials, including; Ziegler’s, Tulsa New Holland and The Alzheimer’s Association. Her family will best remember her for the kindness and spark that she brought to them through all the loving things she did in each of their lives.
