Everett’s second career involved his love of horses and horse racing. He maintained track surface at race courses all over the west, preparing and conditioning the track before each race. He was then employed by WinStar Farms in Kentucky for several years before accepting a job at Royal Randwick Racecourse in NSW, Sydney, Australia. After five years they returned home to be closer to family.

Simons of Kim, Co.; Larry (Skip) Simons of Happy, TX. and Jim Simons of Pueblo West, Co.; one aunt, Ruth Elaine Begio of Yankee, New Mexico and many nephews, nieces, cousins and a multitude of friends worldwide.

Everett had a huge sense of adventure, loved to travel and experience new places and meet new people. He was a very social person who enjoyed being around friends and family. He was greatly loved, and his ready smile and congenial personality will be missed immensely by all who knew him.
