Frank Thomas Ryan, Jr.

Frank Thomas Ryan, Jr. born August 11, 1953, passed from this life January 19th, 2020. He is survived by his wife, DeAnna of the home, son, TC Ryan and wife Sam of Tulsa, daughter, Jessica Ryan of Bend, Oregon, step-son, Gary Swinford and wife Tiffani of Broken Arrow, step-daughter, Kristi Acosta and husband Steve of Broken Arrow, sisters: Alice Ladwig of Tulsa, Elaine Burnside of Tulsa, and Sharon Peachy of Vallejo, California; six grand-children, two great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Ryan, Sr., mother, Pearl, niece, Ryan Pebsworth, mother-in-law, Shirley Swinford, and brother-in-law, Sonny Swinford, whom all he cherished.

Frank loved his family and family gatherings. So much so, that for his 50th birthday he gave gifts to his family and friends. A gesture he always found very gratifying. For him, it was always better to give than receive.

Frank worked in the trucking industry for the last 45+ years. From Owner-Operator to driving instructor to his most recent position at Transit Services in Tulsa, where he was just shy of celebrating his 20-year anniversary. He loved his job and the people he worked with.

Abiding by his wishes, although there is much sadness and heartache he is gone, he wanted those he knew and loved to celebrate his life. Remembering all the good time and his wonderful sense of humor.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, January 31st, 2020, at 2:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer, 2103 East 3rd Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74104. It is an open invitation to anyone who wishes to speak, tell a story, or just remember Frank in their own words.

Frank was simply amazing….I regret moving so far away and not keeping in touch with him very much. The world is a bit darker without him in it……was by far one of our favorite people at Transit!
