Obituary

Freddy Gene Montgomery, age 81, (better known as Fred or “Bud” to most), passed from this life on October 22, 2014 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law Joan and Ronnie Aylor. Fred was born March 7, 1933 in Welty, Oklahoma to James and Annie Montgomery. He worked many years as a Roustabout for Sun Oil Company. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Wanda Lee Montgomery. Wanda and Fred had 5 children; David Montgomery, Daniel Montgomery and wife Vesta, Joan Aylor and husband Ronnie; Terry Montgomery, Patti Evans and husband Kenny. They also had 11 adoring grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Fred was also survived by his loving sister, Hattie Stiffler and 2 brothers, Dale Montgomery and Elmer Montgomery. Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 3:00-5:00pm at the Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home located at 2103 E. 3rd Street, and also at the graveside service. The graveside service will be held 2:00pm Friday, October 24th 2014 at the Welty Cemetery, Welty, Oklahoma. Please feel free to leave a comment or condolence on this page.
