Obituary

Garry Eugene Finney, 64, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on 04/14/2020. He was born to parents Perry Eugene Finney and Eulah Conley, on May 16, 1955 in  the City of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

           

He graduated from Charles Page High School and was a Marine in the Vietnam war.

 

Garry worked as a Journeyman Licensed Plumber for a number of years with Radar Institute for Boys. He helped transform so many lives while working with Radar Institute.

                       

He enjoyed Fishing, Dancing, and music. He never met a stranger and loved deeply. Garry was very passionate about his time in the Marines and serving his country. He was very much loved  and will be greatly missed.

 

He was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Lee Conley and sister Glenda Kay Finney Quinton.

                       

Garry is survived by Daughter Shay Ryan, Son Timmy Finney, Twin Sister Gerldene White, Sister Linda Finney, Sister Marleta Finney, Brother Jr Finney, Sister Imogene Sanders, Brother Terry Finney, Grand-daughter Shelby Ervin, Grand-daughter Jessica Webb, Great-granddaughter Addilynn Ervin, and Maddilynn Ervin.

  3. I grew up in Tulsa Gary was one of my best friends allong with his younger brother who we all called T-bone then there was Allan Beck Kent Tylor Robert Lee and Peanuts.
    I will never forget the summer we all pitched in sold our cars bought a custom van and headed to the Coast in texas for work.Everyone gave up except Gary who stayed behind.Gary was injured on the job there and my mom took him in untill he was well and could return back.Shortly after he joined the Marines and it was Gary who inspired me to join the Army.I never made it back home after three tours of Vietnam.I was damaged goods to ashamed and broken .Not a day or night has passed i havent drifted back there to the childhood and buddies I longed to see and and hear and re unite with .Iam sorry Gary I never found my way home.
