Obituary

Gregory Burl Fisher, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away May 15, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of selfless service, kindness, and wisdom. Greg was born on July 11, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Buryel and Eva Mae (Kircher) Fisher. Whether through his distinguished career in law enforcement, his service in the U.S. Navy, or the countless moments he spent mentoring and guiding those around him, Greg dedicated his life to helping others.
Greg proudly served his country during the Vietnam conflict as a Navy RMSN E3 on the USS Davidson (DE-1045), earning numerous commendations for his commitment and bravery. Following his military service, he embarked on careers from working for EMSA as a mechanic to Electronics Technician at Seismograph. He ultimately found police work to be his passion with the Sand Springs Police Department, retiring as a Police Captain after 21 years and continuing to serve the city for an additional 16 years in various civilian positions. His unwavering dedication to protecting and supporting his community made him a true leader and role model.
A jack of all trades, Greg was never one to shy away from a challenge. He and his wife, Patricia Ann Fisher, built a successful business in access control, forming lasting friendships with their customers along the way. Whether it be fixing something for a neighbor, offering advice to a customer, or simply sharing a laugh with others, his servant’s heart was evident in all that he did. He was a teacher, a mentor, and a friend to many.
Greg was deeply loved and cherished by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia; his children, Morgan Fisher, Aric Fisher, and Kimberly Islas (husband Ryan); his grandchildren, Caden Fisher, Addison (AJ) Fisher, and Daniel Islas. He leaves behind many family members, friends, and colleagues who will forever hold his memory close.
Greg’s caring presence brought warmth and happiness to those who knew him. His impact will be felt for many years to come, and he will be deeply missed.
