Obituary
On Friday, July 13, 1945 Harce Darty was born in Palestine, Texas to Johnnie Willar Sullivan and Roosevelt Darty.
Harce spent much of his youth in Shamrock, Texas with his grandfather, Silas Sullivan. He later moved to Elk City, Oklahoma with his mother. He attended Elk City Public Schools. It was during his tenure in Elk City that he married Dorothy Williams and they became the parents of two daughters.
After High school Harce served his country by joining the United States Marine Corps in March 1969. During this time, he was a skilled rifleman and earned the rank of E3 Lance Corporal. He earned an array of medals, including the Purple Heart as he fought for his county in the Vietnam War. Harce proudly received an Honorable discharge when ending his military service. After returning home from his military duties, he moved to Hollis, OK to be closer to his family. There he met Ms. Dorothy Morris.
In 1974 Dorothy and Harce and her young son moved to Tulsa, OK and added two daughters to the family, Marla and JacQueline. They married September 6, 1981 in Tulsa and remained married until 2002. After many years apart, they reunited in early 2019 and remained together as husband and wife until her death December 6, 2024.
