Obituary

Howard Douglas McLain went on to be with his wife Vicki again on Friday December 20th, 2013 surrounded by his friends and family at the age of 65. Doug was born on August 19th, 1948, to the late Louise Anne Cooper and Howard Grady McLain in Corinth, Mississippi. Doug and his wife, Vicki, owned the Chicken Coop in Tulsa for many years. He was proceded in death by his wife, Vicki Lynn McLain; son, Kevin Howard; both parents; brother, Terry McLain; and sister, Peggy Jones. He is survived by his son, Shane McLain and his wife, Cassie, with their four children; Crystal, Nick, Vanessa, and Caleb of Glencoe, Oklahoma. Two daughters: Kim McLain and her son, Kevin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Kelly McLain and her three daughters, Taylor of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shaleigh and Jason with their four children, Kinsley, Gavin, Maddox and Mason of Bixby, Oklahoma; Ashley and Chad with son, Colson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and brother, Rick Morton of Eufaula, Oklahoma; Four sisters: Nancy McLain of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sheila and Gary Gilliland of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Judy and Jerry Wren of Checotah, Oklahoma, and Carolyn and Mike Connors of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Doug’s greatest pride was his family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Doug will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 28th, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church located at 4928 E Latimer St. Tulsa, OK 74115.
