Obituary

Jackie was born November 11, 1948 in Latrobe, Pa. to Eugene and Marybelle (Davison) Armstrong. She left this world on January 10, 2022.

She graduated John F. Kennedy High School in Los Angeles, 1966. She met her husband Everett at the track in 1971 where he galloped horses and she groomed. Together they loved horses and the track life. Even after moving to Tulsa, Ok. in 1975, that love for both lasted their lifetime. Some of their travels included not only California but Chicago, Louisville, Hot Springs, Oklahoma, and New South

She is preceded in death by her husband, Everett Simons. Brother, Cliff Armstrong. Parents, Eugene and Marybelle (Davison) Armstrong.Wales, Australia. Jackie and Everett made lifelong friends wherever they went. She always kept track of and checked in on family and friends. One of her favorite hobbies was doing research on Ancestry.com. Anyone who had questions about family members or wanted pictures she was all too happy to oblige.

She is survived by daughter, Amanda (Simons) Terry of Mounds, Ok. Grandsons Ryan, Dalton and Brody Terry. Sister, Franny Armstrong of Sand Springs, Ok.

Brother Jimmy and sister in law Jacquie Armstrong of Eugene, Or. Sister, Mindy Armstrong of Somerset, Pa. Brother John and sister in law Teri Armstrong of Prattville, Ok. and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law.

Services for Jackie and Everett are tentatively pending for May, 2022 in Johnson Mesa, NM.

  5. We miss Jackie & Everett so much, but we will always have the fond memories of all the tracks we attended together- Blue Ribbon, Hot Springs, Remington Park, Farmington NM, Evanston WY. I hope Joyce will be able to attend the services at Mesa. Miss them so much, I know that they rest in peace. God Bless
