Obituary

DURANT, James, Jr., 59, of Tulsa, died on January 9, 2010. He was born October 17, 1950, in Haskell, OK, to James, Sr. and Versie Durant. He worked as a marble finisher. He is survived by his mother: Versie Durant of Tulsa; wife: Selina Gist of the home; children: Jamien, Jerriod, and Lecretia Durant, all of Tulsa; Adrian and Angelique Landrum, of Tulsa; Ginna Surratt (Paul) of Tulsa; 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; brothers: Jerry Durant (Tracy) Los Angeles, CA; Darrell Durant of Tulsa; sisters: Janice Durant-Robinson; Beverly Jemison (Keith) all of Tulsa. He is also survived by niece: Shaneka Landrum; nephews: Keon, Dejuan, and Jerry, Jr. and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, James Durant, Sr. and one daughter. Viewing will be at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home, 2103 E. Third St., Tulsa, OK, on Thursday, January 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at First Assembly of God, Haskell, OK., with Reverend Donald Hogue officiating.
