Obituary

James Jerald Garrison, 90, of Bixby, Oklahoma passed peacefully October 19, 2019. He was born in Jenks, Oklahoma on May 5, 1929 to Charlie and Gladys (Dowdy) Garrison. 

James worked in the heating & air field until his retirement. He gained employment with Stanolind Oil in Levelland, Texas, Dallas Heating & Air and Warehouse Market. He was a faithful member of the Bixby Trinity Full Gospel Church, Sons of the American Revolution and Sons of the Confederate Union. 

He is survived by his children, James Garrison (Jean), Steve Garrison (Pam), Mike Garrison, Debbie Watkins (David), Kathy Mitchell (Randy) and Paula Marshall (Matt); 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. 

James is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lula Bell (Stacy) Garrison. 

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Funeral Home. Graveside services will take place Wednesday, 2:00pm, at the Green Lawn Cemetery in Checotah, Oklahoma.

  4. Thank you for all the good times we had together, whether we are building model cars, eating at rest-runts, or going on a AC call. My time with you was always fun. I love you Pooh.

  5. As a kid, I always knew my relationship with my Pooh was special. He was always a blast to be around and you never knew who was having more fun, you or him. Now as an adult and father, I often find myself looking back to those memories for inspiration of how to play and interact with my own son.
