PARKER, Sr., James Sherman. 100, passed from this life on July 8, 2010, in Tulsa, OK. He was born in Porter, OK on November 7, 1909, to Sherd and Ribbie (Harrison) Parker. He attended school at Harrison Chapel in Wagoner County, and was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. He was a farmer. He married Merdie Hitchye and they had seven children. Mr. Parker is survived by daughters: Eloise Lee (James); Purceina Harper (Edgar); son: Sherman Parker, Jr. (Udora); sisters: Lola Dean; Geraldine Craig; brother: Sherd Parker, Jr.; eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughters: Norma Jean Robinson; Rozell Perry; sons: Lewis Parker; Samuel Parker. Viewing will be from 12-8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 14 and 8:30 AM-8:00 PM on Thursday, July 15, at Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home, 2103 E. 3rd St., Tulsa. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 16, 2010, at Holsey Chapel, 1804 E. 48th N, Tulsa. Interment will be at Green Acres Cemetery.
