Jason Christian Bond, 53, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, entered the presence of Jesus on August 5, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital. Jason was born on November 11, 1972, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Leslie D. “Buddy” Bond and Barbara Anne Bond.

Jason graduated from Charles Page High School in 1993 and spent his working years in a variety of jobs, often juggling more than one at a time. He ultimately found his favorite role as a bus driver for Sand Springs Public Schools while also working part-time at Lowe’s. He was attending school to complete a certification in computer forensics at Tulsa Community College. Jason was naturally inquisitive and loved learning about anything and everything.  He listened to podcasts and YouTubers discussing a variety of topics, ranging from conspiracy theories, to tech, to vegetables.

Jason was best known for his quirky sense of humor and his frequent lack of a filter. Few things brought him more joy than catching someone off guard with a perfectly timed, slightly off-color remark. He was also remarkably skilled at avoiding camera lenses and never wanted to be the center of attention. Family members knew all too well his habit of quietly slipping out of gatherings without saying goodbye, usually prompting a brief search of the house before someone would announce, “Jason has left the building!”

Jason loved cars & motorcycles, dogs, good sci-fi and reading – and diligently studied his Bible, consistently strengthening the foundations of his faith. He was a bit of a foodie with a long-lasting love of green bean casserole, trying new restaurants, and sharing his latest discoveries with family and friends. Although he disliked conflict and confrontation, he had a deep appreciation for all things unusual and weird. He also possessed an uncanny ability to make friends wherever he went—and to fall asleep just about anywhere.

Jason was a person you could call when you needed help. Whether you asked or not, he was always ready to lend a hand. A simple conversation about a broken lawn mower, a car repair, or a home project often meant Jason would later show up with the exact part, tool, or material needed to finish the job. He never sought recognition or attention for his kindness. He simply saw a need and met it. His selfless spirit continued even after his passing through the gift of organ donation, offering hope and life to others.

For those who loved him, his absence will be deeply felt, but his humor, generosity, and quiet acts of kindness will not be forgotten. One last time, “Jason has left the building.”

Jason is survived by his brother, Ryan Bond of Tulsa; his aunts and uncles, Patty and Alan Ozment of Tulsa, Kathy and Jeff Wolf of Sand Springs, Rick and Karen Mallory of Tulsa, Brenda Mallory of Sand Springs, and Lisa Gillilan of Tulsa; as well as a host of beloved cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie “Buddy” and Barbara Bond; his grandparents, Jack and Velma Bond and Perry and Bobbie Mallory; and his uncles, James Bond, Perry “Larry” Mallory, and Jeff Gillilan.
