Obituary

Jean Marie Jerome, age 86, passed away in Owasso, Oklahoma on January 2, 2018. She was born April 16, 1931 in Paris, Texas to Chester Calvin and Elise (Cearley) Davis. Before being married, Jean worked as a dress model for the well known Seidenbach’s on south Main street in Tulsa. Jean met a man, while ice skating, who later became her husband. You might say she was courted on ice. They both loved to ice skate. Jean married Tom R. Jerome on September 15, 1950 at Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa. Tom joined the United States Navy which allowed them to travel to the Philippine Islands, where their first child Catherine was born. Then traveling to Washington state their second child Thomas was born. When Tom was discharged from the Navy, they moved back to Tulsa to make it their home to raise their five children. Phillip, Mary and David were all born in Tulsa. Jean love to go fishing with Tom and loved bowling so much they joined a bowling league. She was also an avid reader and gardener and crocheted many blankets for her family.She in preceded in death by her husband: Tom; son: Phillip and brother: James C. Davis (Jimmy). Jean is survived by her daughter: Catherine (Terry) Hyatt; sons: Thomas (Debra) Jerome; David (Teresa) Jerome along with other loving family and friends.
