Obituary

A graveside service for Mr. Armstead will be held on Monday, July 1, 1:00 p.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK.

Jermaine Ray Armstead was born on December 23, 1982, to Ronald Armstead, Sr. and Marie Ann Clark Armstead in Tulsa, OK.

Jermaine’s parents knew early on that he was a very special child – joyful, kind, and independent. He attended Skelly Elementary and Edison Middle Schools and graduated from Memorial High School in 2000. His fun-loving spirit was contagious as he was often found dancing, doing puzzles and other arts and crafts, and watching his favorite wrestling and comedy shows on TV. Jermaine enjoyed getting out every chance he could by going to the park (especially if there was water or fishing involved), shopping at the mall, visiting the Tulsa Zoo and the aquarium, and other special events like the Nutcracker. He was an animal lover and sports fan and even played wheelchair basketball where he earned the name ‘JAY’ for his strong jump shot. He liked going out to eat at Golden Corral and celebrating his birthday with family and friends each year.

Jermaine worked at the Urban League three days a week, and at the Bridges Workshop two days a week packaging orders. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Marie A. Armstead.

Jermaine is survived by his father, Ronald Sr.; his brother, Ronald Wayne (Tiffany Lynn) Armstead Jr. who resides in Pennsylvania; and was the proud uncle of: Seven, Cory, Meah, Ayden, Jayla, and Antwon; aunts and uncles Floyd Clark, Chris (George) Crout, his faithful caregiver Lloyd Clark Jr., Joseph (Beverly) Clark, Jessie (Nathan) Mills, Esibell Clark, Mattie P. Clark, and a host of cousins and friends.
