  1. JERRY'S PRESENCE AND DEDICATION AT THE USPS HAS BEEN MISSED AND HE WILL REMAIN SO FOR A VERY LONG TIME, BY THOSE OF US WHO WORKED WITH HIM AND RELIED ON HIS KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND WILLINGNESS TO ALWAYS HELP WITH ANSWERS TO OUR QUESTIONS. MAY THE GOOD LORD BLESS AND KEEP HIS SOUL AND PROTECT HIS SPIRIT

  2. Jerry was a person without category. Not a typical friend or an enemy but never just there. My grandmother used to say of admirable individuals: "He covered the ground he stood on." Jerry covered it very well. Of the aspects of his personality, perhaps the most conspicuous was bravado but that in itself was multi-dimensional. There was wit, humor and warmth that were anything but stencilled in from any design. He could be abrasive; he could be gruff for effect but there was a tenderness in reserve that was rich and honorable. One can but wonder of his reception through the years in varied environs and social climates but I can't imagine he was ever forgotten. He himself forgot little, always bringing a unique slant to his observations. His passing highlights a word that might never have been used of his presence – "precious". He seemed to be an angel on suspension, so down to earth that you wished he would never leave. Surely the Lord has received his soul into the bosom of His love. All that was precious and warm and good in Jerry has found an indestructible home. Rest in peace.

  3. Jerry was my cousin. I always looked up to Jerry he had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile for you. He will be dearly missed.
