Obituary

Jerrie Francis McMillan, 76, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma passed away March 18, 2018 in Tulsa. She was born March 14, 1942 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Leslie Harry and Nora Ann Powell.

Jerrie married her first love Charles Rotramel, together they raised four children. She earned her LPN Degree and worked as a nurse/lab secretary at OSU Medical Center. She loved gardening, planting flowers and watching her O.U. Sooners football and playing tambourine in the Stormy Production Band while she was married to Stormy Downey. She also loved drinking her Coca Cola, dancing, roller skating and having family reunions.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Leslie Leroy McMillan; grandchildren: Cassidy Rotramel and Justin Frey; brothers: Clarence Taylor, Jack Taylor, Walter Taylor, Buck Taylor; sisters: Lorene Myrtle Postier, Alma Jean Carpino, Rachel Dawson and Dorothy Dawson.

Jerrie is survived by her first husband: Charles Rotramel; daughters: Robbie North (Ronnie) of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Pamela Stewart (Roger) of Claremore, Oklahoma, Lisa Belcher and fiancé’ Jim Hoggatt of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; son: David Rotramel of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Subrina Thompson, Michael Blackburn, Cindy Lawrence, Jimmy Blackburn, Jason Leslie, Ashley Ritchie, David Frey, Jr., Barrett Rotramel, Kelsey Naugle, Crystal Green, Danielle Watkins, Logan Rotramel, Sabrina North and Davena Sorenson; twenty five great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews along with special friends Bill Smith, Laura Lee Flynn, Linda and Sater Hussien and lots of other friends. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Jerrie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Clarehouse in Jerrie’s name. A special thank you to Roserock Hospice Care for taking such good care of our mom.

    I remember Jerrie's compassion for me when my daughter died. We were not only co-workers but friends. She up-lifted me during my bereavement and I will never forget that. I am sorry that I didn't make an effort to keep better in touch if her. We let our own illness take over. Jerrie I will miss you.
