Obituary
Jimmie Lee Head, 81, passed away Wednesday January 28, 2015. He was born in Sapulpa, OK March 14, 1933 but lived in Tulsa most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War era. Before his retirement he was the owner of JL’s Upholstery. Jimmie was best known for his stock car racing. He raced at Tulsa Speedway in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Most of his long time friendships revolved around racing. He also loved fishing and hunting. But Jimmie was best known for his sense of humor. If you were around him you were going to laugh. We often called him “Benny Hill.” Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, James A. Head and Hazel Cash and daughter Angel Lea Head. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Clara Lucille Head; daughter Vickie Burkett and husband Kenny; son Tommy Head and wife Rhonda; sister Diana Fazzini; brother Doug Cash and wife Merita; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
