Obituary

“For I am ready to be offered and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight and I have finished my course. I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:6-7 On April 28, 1927, a daughter was born to Starling and Tennessee Wright Triggs. They named her Katherine. She was affectionately called “Day.” “Day” united with Mt. Zion First Baptist Church at an early age and was an active member until failing health prevented her attendance. “Day” was a homemaker and tirelessly visited the sick and shut-ins offering to do whatever she could to help. She always had treats or little gifts for the many children who affectionately referred to her as “Aunt Day Day.” She united with Roy Hines in marriage and they remained together until his passing. “Day” was also preceded in death by her parents and nine siblings. She leaves to mourn her passing a son, Charles Love Sr.; a foster son, Tracy Walker; grandsons: Charles Jr., Brian, and Derrick; granddaughter, Muffy; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold of Boynton, Oklahoma; two sisters: Mary Love of Boynton, Oklahoma and Irene Freeman of Muskogee, Oklahoma; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, and a special sister-in-law and friend throughout her illness, Lucille Carter. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Boynton, Oklahoma.
