Obituary

Kaven Todd Patterson well known as ‘K.P.’ was born May 13, 1958 in Kansas City Missouri. He passed from this life on May 10,2024.

Kaven grew up in Tulsa Oklahoma and graduated from Will Rogers High School in May 1976. He enjoyed spending time with family and reminiscing about back in the day. He loved to laugh and just chill; he was very easy going. Kaven was a music lover and enjoyed playing his bass guitar and keyboards. At one time he was part of a R&B band playing gigs around town. He was quite the handyman; good at various household repairs and was proficient in repairing cars.

He worked for Tulsa Public Schools before moving to San Antonio Texas. While there he gave his life to Christ, was baptized and became a member of True Vine Baptist Church. He also worked several jobs.

After a while, Kaven moved back to Tulsa and worked for Vernon A.M.E. Church.

Kaven is preceded in death by his mother Eura Mazola Patterson and brother James Valton Evans. Kaven will be dearly missed by his Brother Joel Myers (Margaret), Sister Sandra Wilson (James), Aunt Mildred Chamberlain, Daughters Erica Vann, Karan Taylor, Shacole Taylor, Sons Carlos Taylor, Kevin Emonte Taylor, a niece and a host of nephews, cousins, grandchildren and friends.

A memorial service for Mr. Patterson will be held on Friday, May 24, 1:00 p.m., at Butler-Stumpff & Dyer Memorial Chapel, 2103 E. 3rd St., Tulsa, OK 74104.
