Obituary

Kellie Dawn (Howe) Hight passed away peacefully in the presence of family and friends Saturday January 28, 2017. She fought a long and courageous battle against cancer. Kellie loved her children, family, friends, sports, and her smartphone. She enjoyed keeping-up with her contacts, sending and receiving news, jokes and humorous cartoons. A gracious hostess, Kellie looked forward to family and friends coming to her home for holidays and family activities. She was very caring, and no one ever left hungry.

Kellie was preceded in death by her husband Mike Hight and mother Gloria Howe. She is survived by her fiancé Willie Stevens; sons Chad Hight and Houston Hight; daughter Brittany Hight and grandson Brendan Hight; sisters Vickie Hagele and Kasie Workman; brothers Terry Howe, Tim Howe, Joe Howe, and Steve Howe; father Stan Howe and step-mother Betty Howe; Mike’s brother Larry Hight; long-time friend Christa Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and out-laws. She is sorely missed.

  1. Kelly will be greatly missed and was a blessing to many people in her life especially children. Kelly cared for my daughter for several years like she was one of her own. Love the Hight family. Praying for Brittany, Chad and Houston.

I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE MY HEARTFELT SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY FOR THEIR GREAT LOSS. WE ARE PROMISED AT JOHN 5;28,29 TO SEE OUR LOVED ONES AGAIN. TO ENJOY THEIR COMPANY AGAIN CAN TAKE SOME OF THE HURT AWAY NOW.

  4. Judy Hammond says:

I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew Kellie as a parent when I taught Chad and Houston in kindergarten. She loved her children and shared her love with foster children, too. Kellie also helped the school through her work in the PTA. She had such a kind heart. May special memories of your mother comfort you, Chad, Houston, and Brittany. I'm so glad I knew her! With deepest sympathy, Judy Hammond
