Obituary

Kenneth Allen McMullen was born February 18, 1925 in Paden, Oklahoma, the youngest child of Harry and Eula (Bingham) McMullen.  Kenneth, or “Mac” as he was known for most of his life, served in the US Navy in Pacific theater combat in World War II and was activated for the Korean conflict with the 45th I.D. (“Thunderbirds”) of the Oklahoma Army National guard.  After his Army discharge, Mac worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Tulsa.  He retired from the Tulsa Public School System with almost 40 years’ teaching and administrative service. Kenneth entered eternity to be with his Lord Jesus on November 28th 2015 at his home in Tulsa.  He was preceded in death by his parents and all eight older siblings, his wife, Wilma (Bentley) and daughter, Mary Rhea McMullen.  He is survived by his son Kevin A. McMullen (Kathy) of Blue Springs, Missouri, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. “Mac” was a sailor, soldier, baseball coach, football trainer, teacher, Scoutmaster, Boy Scout Assistant District Commissioner, department head, small business owner, and most of all, “(a great and grand) Dad.”
